Flange pipe fittings serve as vital connecting components widely adopted in industrial pipeline systems for fluid transmission, equipment assembly and pipeline maintenance. These fittings realize detachable connection between pipelines, valves, pumps and other industrial equipment through flange plates, sealing gaskets and bolt assemblies. According to structural differences, mainstream flange pipe fittings can be divided into welding flanges, threaded flanges, socket welding flanges, lap joint flanges and blind flanges. Welding flanges are permanently fixed on pipe ends via welding processes, featuring excellent connection stability and pressure resistance, which makes them suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature pipeline environments in petroleum, chemical and power industries. Threaded flanges complete assembly by thread matching without welding operations, ideal for low-pressure pipelines and scenarios requiring frequent disassembly. Socket welding flanges place pipes inside flange sockets for welding, delivering good sealing performance in small-diameter pipelines. Lap joint flanges cooperate with pipe laps to reduce flange surface wear during repeated disassembly. Blind flanges act as sealing caps to block pipeline ends for pipeline testing, maintenance and temporary closure. The selection of flange pipe fittings must comprehensively consider pipeline operating pressure, medium properties, temperature parameters and installation conditions. Improper type selection will lead to leakage risks, pipeline vibration and shortened service life. Raw material options include carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel and plastic lined steel. Carbon steel flanges enjoy cost advantages for conventional water and gas transportation pipelines. Stainless steel flanges possess strong corrosion resistance and adapt to corrosive media such as acid, alkali and salt solutions. Alloy steel flanges are customized for ultra-high temperature and ultra-high pressure working conditions. Standardization is another core factor during procurement. Common global standards contain ASME B16.5, EN 1092-1, GB/T and JIS standards. Different standards cannot be directly interchanged due to differences in flange size, bolt hole distribution and pressure rating. Regular inspection of flange connections cannot be ignored during pipeline operation. Operators need to check bolt tightness, gasket aging and flange surface deformation regularly to avoid medium leakage caused by loose connection or failed sealing components.
